Australian Indie Rock Preachers Midnight Alibi returned home from rocking premier venues on the Sunset Strip Los Angeles California, then the world stopped due to the Covid 19 pandemic.
What happens next the band came straight out of lockdown and into the Studio to record their much anticipated second full length album release titled “HIGHER POWER”.

Midnight Alibi hailing from the Victorian/New South Wales Border Towns Albury/Wodonga released in 2019 a limited two track vinyl ’Loveshine’ including the title track and a B side ‘Hard One’ through Rue Morgue records. Recorded in Melbourne with award-winning Australian producer/engineer Steve Scanlon (The Chainsmoker, Peking Duk).

The track ‘Loveshine’ is embellished with Hammond organ and piano courtesy of Tony Featherstone (The Bad Love/Jimmie Barnes).
Billy Idol’s long-time guitarist Billy Morrison a Midnight Alibi fan created a canvas for use as the sleeve artwork. The release earned the band a number 2 and 4 on the Triple J unearthed charts.
In Australia they independently released two critically acclaimed EP’s, 2015 ’Preach It’ and the later 2016 ’Love Yourself Sick’ which included the radio track ‘Down The River’ which gave the band their first taste of widespread airplay. 2017 under Universal Music Australia the album ‘Just Like You Want It’ was released earning a Top 30 debut on the AIR Album Charts.
The first two singles ‘Ego Tripper’ and ‘Thief’, immediately attracted major commercial and community radio play including the Triple M metro and regional networks.
Midnight Alibi formed in 2012 and has relentlessly toured as a must see act sharing the stage alongside legends such as Rose Tattoo, members of AC/DC, The Angels, The Screaming Jets, The Choirboys, Uncanny Xmen, Body Jar, Thirsty Merc, British India, and a hell of a lot more.
